Returning to work after incapacity

Is your period of incapacity for work coming to an end? Then you will be going back to work. Usually, you can make a full return to work. If you are not yet completely well enough to make a full return to work, you can return to work part time. You have the option of receiving guidance from a return-to-work coach

Retirement or death

Your incapacity for work may also expire when you retire or in the event of death.

End of your recognition

During a medical assessment, the health insurance fund's medical officer may decide to discontinue the recognition of your incapacity for work as of a certain date. This is known as the end of your recognition.

Voluntary work

Do you want to do unpaid work or volunteer work when you are incapacitated for work? If so, make a request to do so from the health insurance fund's medical officer in good time.

Extension and relapse

If your incapacity for work is prolonged or if you have a relapse, you have to report your incapacity for work on time again.
